Mtopanga Primary School is situated in a built up area on the edge of the town of Mtopanga (See Map).

Pupils range from 5 to 16 years of age and follow the Kenyan Curriculum from Standard 1 to 8.

At Standard 8 all Pupils sit the School Leaving Certificate.

In January 2007 the computer lab was upgraded from Windows 98 to Windows 2000.

Standard 1 to 8 pupils will have three 40 minute sessions each week.

Standards 7 and 8 will focus on the current Term’s Syllabus in Maths, Science, English and Geography in preparation for Exams.

A Computer Club will be run out of school hours.

Mtopanga Primary School contains the Mtopanga Special Unit, whose motto is "Where Disability is not considered to be Inability".

In the picture (left) you can see painted on the wall of the Special Needs Unit the words 'Disability is not Inability'.

The unit employs a Special Needs Teacher.
